IDM appoints four new Fellows
Released 22 November 2001: The IDM today announced its four Fellows of 2001 at its Annual Lunch.
This year's Fellows are (from left to right above):
- Nick Backhouse, CRM Director, McCann-Erickson Manchester
- Judith Donovan CBE, founder, DIY Direct Marketing
- Malcolm Whitmarsh, Marketing Industry Director, Reed Exhibitions
- David Coupe, Managing Director, Experian
IDM fellowships are awarded to direct marketing professionals. Each of the four was awarded fellowship following their nomination and a subsequent vote by the IDM's founder Members, Fellows, Council and Trust.
Bill Cockburn, President of the IDM, who presented the 2001 Fellows with their awards said, "Fellowship of the IDM is not an honour that is bestowed lightly. And the selection process is suitably vigorous. Each has been chosen for their continued contribution to the improvement and growth of direct marketing over the years."
The presentations took place at today's IDM Annual Lunch, held for the second year at London's Millennium Britannia Hotel. The guest speaker was Dame Stella Rimington, former Director General of MI5.
