IDM appoints Jonathan Clark as Vice Chairman
Released 05 March 2007: The IDM is pleased to announce the appointment of Jonathan Clark M IDM as its new Vice Chairman. The former chairman of Clark McKay & Walpole joins the IDM Board with immediate effect and will work closely with IDM Chairman, Simon Hall F IDM, promoting and developing the IDM brand.
The role of Vice Chairman is a new one and has been created to support the IDM’s future expansion plans. Jonathan has a great deal of experience of growing a business and with working with some of the best brands in the market.
Commenting on his appointment, Jonathan said: ”The IDM bloodline at this level is one that reads like a Who’s Who of Direct Marketing. The legends that precede me have all left a lasting legacy so I have tough acts to follow. I see my role to continue the superb efforts of Derek Holder and give him and his team all the support and encouragement they need, working closely with Simon. “The role and leadership that the IDM provides is one that is sometimes not as fully recognised as it should. The energy and enthusiasm of the team at IDM has blown me away and I see a key role to create greater awareness of the fantastic work it does on behalf of the industry. This is truly one of the greatest and most exciting challenges of my career to date”
IDM Managing Director, Derek Holder added: “One of the things I hope Jonathan will help us do is raise our profile. We are an Education Trust, a registered charity, and all profits are spent on our education programmes for students, universities and colleges where we’ve had some incredible successes.”
