IDM appoints two new board directors
Released 19 June 2001: The Institute of Direct Marketing (IDM) announced today that it has appointed Julia Foster, International Business Development Director, and Fidelma Haverty, Director, In-Company Training, to its board.
The appointments acknowledge the growth experienced within their respective areas in recent times.
Julia joined the IDM in 1998, having previously worked for Royal Mail, heading up its team of direct marketing consultants. Fidelma has worked at the IDM for four years, where her team's clients include Cable & Wireless, Abbey National, Bank of Scotland and the National Trust.
Julia says, "The IDM is witnessing ever-increasing demand for its qualifications, courses and expertise on an international scale. For me, the appointment means that this key business area is now getting the representation it deserves at board level."
Fidelma adds, "Alongside the International department, the IDM's In-Company Training operation has experienced terrific growth. Companies are increasingly recognising the benefits of bespoke and flexible training solutions. I am delighted with the appointment, which recognises the efforts of my team and the importance of our business function."
