IDM chooses Avon for 2003 diploma case study
Released 29 May 2003: The Institute of Direct Marketing IDM has chosen Avon - the global beauty brand that sells direct - to feature as the main case study for the IDM Diploma in Direct and Interactive Marketing exam this year.
This year’s IDM Diploma exams will be sat in May, and the students will be tested on Avon’s traditional and evolving selling channels.
"Avon has a long tradition of selling direct to consumers and that differentiates it greatly from the other beauty brands," says Amanda Rogers, Director of Qualifications at the IDM.
"This makes Avon one of the best examples from the beauty sector for students of direct and interactive marketing," she adds.
"The IDM has a world-wide reputation for the quality of its professional development and education programmes. That’s why it’s a honour for us to receive this recognition for our pioneering direct business that we continually develop to meet the needs of today’s consumers." Says Andrea Slater, Vice President Marketing for Avon UK.
