The conference theme, Understanding and Engaging Customer 2.0 was developed with the IDM B2B Marketing Council and is a result of marketer feedback on the key issues currently facing practitioners in the B2B space. The event takes place at London’s Commonwealth Club on 18 May 2011 and emphasis will be on real-world up-to-the-minute evidence of how the most successful B2B programmes right now are the result of engaging today’s connected and informed B2B buyer and putting them at the centre of the strategy.

Conference highlights include:

  • Behavioural economics: the hard-wired nature of human decision-making
  • How to build a demanding Customer 2.0 into every part of the marketing strategy
  • Getting truly actionable insights from data
  • Convincing business leadership of the value of marketing
  • Practical breakouts on marketing automation, dynamic content, social media and measuring engagement
  • Creating advocacy through video
  • How to innovate for success

Conference chair and Chair of the IDM B2B Marketing Council, Debbie Williams F IDM comments:
“It’s encouraging to see such a healthy uptake of places at this year’s conference so early in the year. It suggests not only that there’s a new level of optimism amongst B2B marketers, but, given that we canvassed their views regarding the conference theme, it also demonstrates the value of listening to your customer to get your offering right. It’s what the conference is all about – and the proof is in the bookings!”

Delegates will hear from such brands as American Express, Vodafone, KLM, salesforce.com, Cisco, IBM and Google whose strict brief is to showcase real and current examples of successful customer-focussed programmes and to deliver practical advice that can be taken away and used.

Full conference details are on the IDM website at http://www.theidm.com/b2b where early bird booking discounts are available until 25 March 2011.

The IDM would like to thank headline sponsor Dun & Bradstreet, as well as associate sponsors and partners Silverstream, Pitney Bowes, B2B Marketing, Lorien Unique, Silverpop, Concep, Elliott Young and Hurricane.
