IDM event to reveal Coca-Cola and Tesco data strategies
Released 12 June 2009: On June 25, three expert data marketers representing Coca-Cola and Tesco will deliver detailed case study-led presentations that will reveal insights into the data strategies of the two brand giants.
The speakers will be: Fiona Blades, Chief Experience Officer of award-winning research agency, MESH Planning and highly ranked speaker at the 2009 IDM Data Summit; Linda Neville, Strategic Planner at Coca-Cola; and Di Roach, Senior Client Director, dunnhumby. By drawing on their clients’ considerable experience, their aim is to draw attention to new possibilities for data marketers and emphasise the important role data plays as a revenue driver.
Adrian Gregory, IDM Data Council member and Chief Executive of event sponsor DQM Group, the Data Value Management specialist comments: “This event builds on important ‘best practice’ themes that emerged from the IDM Data Summit earlier this year. Supported by the IDM Data Council, it offers the opportunity for a fast-track briefing on the proven power of data in modern accountable marketing from global brands at the forefront of unleashing the value of data as a key business asset.”
Entitled Proving the Power of Data, the event will cover:
- new metrics that measure and compare customer reactions across all brand touchpoints
- the implications of this new data stream for marketers
- how shoppers are responding to the economy
- Tesco's response to the recession
- how new insights can be gleaned about brand consumption
- how data increases accountability and drives revenue
Also during the evening, event sponsor DQM Group will give a brief update on the latest benchmarking results on best practice in data management from www.datameasures.com. DataMeasures™ was developed in partnership with the IDM Data Council at the start of 2009 to meet the need for benchmarking data and other useful reference information for data professionals.
Proving the Power of Data takes place in central London on 25 June. For full event and speaker details, please visit www.theidm.com/powerofdata.
