IDM Millennium Lecture achieves record attendance
Released 02 October 2000: The Institute of Direct Marketing (IDM) has been forced to relocate its Millennium Lecture in response to the highest-ever ticket sales for this annually held event. Within days, the original RIBA venue, with room for 284 attendees, proved insufficient to meet demand, necessitating a move to the Institute of Education with its capacity for 930 people.
Deputy Managing Director at the IDM, Neil Morris, says, "The 'e' prefix seems to adorn virtually every event aimed at the direct marketing fraternity these days, but our Millennium Lecture offering is unique. Emily Nagel Green, MD of Forrester Research, will look beyond the basics to deliver an in-depth forecast of the future of e-business and direct marketing's role within it."
The new venue is The Logan Theatre at the Institute of Education, London WC1H (just off Russell Square). Full details of the change will be sent to IDM members that have already booked to attend the Lecture.
Titled E-commerce: the future of business, the Lecture will provide a detailed analysis of the nature and scale of the changes resulting from Internet marketing, and it will paint a clear picture of the implications for markets, consumers and marketers.
Tickets cost £36 for IDM members and their guests. To book or to receive more information, call Sally Cawthra in the IDM's Membership department on +44 (0)208 614 0275.
