IDM’s professional development programme for 2005 ‘most comprehensive yet’

Released 07 February 2005: The newly unveiled IDM professional development programme for 2005 is the institute’s most comprehensive yet. It encompasses new and established qualifications, courses, conferences, and tailor-made solutions and covers topics as diverse as direct marketing budget management, data protection and best practice search engine marketing.

The programme, which is detailed in the newly released training catalogue, has been carefully crafted to include training solutions for every direct, data and digital marketer across all management levels.

Each one of the 32 featured training solutions has been newly created or freshly updated for 2005 and also incorporated into the IDM’s Continuing Professional Development (CPD) Programme, announced earlier this year.

The all-encompassing portfolio of courses continues the IDM’s tradition of employing expert practitioners to tutor and teach. Speakers include Steve Harrison, Founder of Harrison Troughton Wunderman, Seán Kelly, Founder of the Data Warehouse Network and Bede Feltham M IDM, Managing Director of BSD Marketing.

Joanna King, Director of Professional Short Courses at the IDM says, “This is without doubt the most exciting programme we have created. Every course has been carefully created in response to identified skills shortfalls in the direct, data and digital marketplace. As a result we are expecting a buoyant year as more organisations wake up to the real value of continued staff development both in terms of staff motivation and retention and the measurable uplift in business performance.”
