The theme for 2003 is ‘Pop Academy ’ and the IDM campaign to invite direct marketing companies to put forward their most talented staff for inclusion in the competition is set to go live after Easter.

This is the IDM’s second charity party. It follows last year’s successful ‘Stars in Their Eyes’ theme which was supported by Centrica, D&B, BT Retail Solutions, The DM Show, Centaur Events, Argos Financial Services, WWAV Rapp Collins, Stream City and Orchid PR.

Professor Derek Holder, Managing Director of the IDM says, "As well as being in aid of a good cause the IDM Charity Ball is the only real opportunity for the direct marketing community to let its hair down without the ritual of an awards ceremony or formal presentation. I am delighted that this year the event is in aid of the NSPCC and am sure we will get plenty of support in terms of sponsorship, prize donations and ticket sales."

Additional fundraising on the night will include a charity auction. Agencies, suppliers and client companies are now being approached to contribute to the event to maximise the fundraising effort. Any organisations interested in sponsorship, or making a prize donation to the charity auction, should contact Lisa Turner, Head of Marketing at the IDM on 020 6614 0248.
