The course, entitled "A newcomer's introduction to modern integrated direct marketing" launches in September and is intended as a stunning and comprehensive introduction to the breadth and scope of modern integrated direct marketing - the best introduction available to today's complex profession. Uniquely, the two-day programme will be taught solely by Fellows of the IDM - all experienced direct marketing professionals in their own right. The list of tutors includes industry stars Marc Nohr, Managing Partner of Kittcat Nohr Alexander Shaw; Stephen Taylor, Regional Vice President & MD Search Marketing, Yahoo! Europe; Marc Michaels, Director of Direct & Relationship Marketing; and Managing Director of the IDM itself, Professor Derek Holder.

IDM Programme Director, Joanna King, comments: "The time is absolutely right for this new course. Today's direct marketing industry not only needs to attract new talent, but also to nurture newcomers in their long-term career growth. The course programme aims to do just that - tutors, from the creme de la creme of today's profession, will excite and inspire, while the mentoring programme will help sustain, guide and channel that enthusiasm longer term."

The new course represents part of the IDM's drive both to attract new blood into the profession and to point newcomers on the path to becoming the complete marketing professional required by today's industry.
