Interactive third edition of IDM’s best-selling Direct Marketing Guide out in September

Released 03 July 2002: The third edition of the direct marketing profession’s primary source of hands-on knowledge and guidance will be published in September.

20% bigger than the previous edition and renamed The Interactive and Direct Marketing Guide, it contains more than 50 chapters by 37 different contributors, each one a leader in their field, including:

  • Graeme McCorkell, Founder Fellow, the IDM
  • Nick Siragher, Director, Hewson Consulting
  • Clive Humby F IDM, Chairman and Co-Founder, dunnhumby

Previous editions of the Guide already grace some 8,000 direct marketers’ bookshelves. The new edition is expected to out-sell its predecessor as it will be available in both hard-copy and CD-ROM formats.

Professor Derek Holder, Managing Director of the IDM, says, “This new version of the Guide pools the knowledge of the very best in the business. True to the IDM’s wider approach, it provides practical, immediately applicable and comprehensive instruction on every aspect of interactive and direct marketing. So, it will be an equally invaluable tool for newcomers to the business and for direct marketing die-hards in need of refreshment and updating.”

Louise Brannan, Head of Marketing, Marks and Spencer Financial Services, says, “The Guide has proved to be a good reference source as well as an excellent aid to training. We can’t wait to get our hands on the new edition.”

The Guide costs £165 for IDM members and £185 for non-members (excluding VAT and p&p). The pre-publication offer provides a £30 discount for those ordering before the end of July, and all orders benefit from a 30-day trial.
