Nectar and O2 join IDM Speaker Faculty with new Multichannel Marketing course
Released 29 September 2011: Two extended case studies from O2 and Nectar are at the heart of a new, two-day Multichannel Marketing course from the Institute of Direct and Digital Marketing.
The detailed and candid case studies emphasise the importance the IDM places on training that’s based on real-world, current best practice, and that can be taken and applied to delegates’ own real-world campaigns.
The O2 case study will be delivered by Sarah Evans, Head of Mobile Internet andPortals, Telefónica UK and member of the IDM Digital Marketing Council. Sarah will discuss the vital role of mobile in today’s marketing, illustrating her session with a frank examination of both the challenges she has faced and the successes achieved at O2. She will also include some of the successful techniques and practices that other UK brands are currently employing.
Nectar’s E-Commerce Director, Maureen McDonagh, will reveal how applying the right marketing mix increased the loyalty giant’s customer engagement, acquisition and customer value. Drawing on her direct experiences, she will guide delegates through the stages of an effective multichannel campaign, including planning, execution, measurement, results, analysis, through to the next forward plan.
Maureen McDonagh comments:
“The breadth of specialist understanding and capability that this new course promotes will add tremendous value to marketing strategies and careers for many years to come.”
The remainder of the course is delivered by experienced digital strategist, Rik Pipe, who will examine the strengths and weaknesses of all offline and online channels, plus the behaviours of today’s consumers in relation to them. Delegates will leave with a clear understanding of how to identify, and how to make the most of, the channels that will best serve their business, increase customer engagement and improve ROI.
Multichannel Marketing launches on 27-28 October 2011. Marketers who book a place for the launch date will get an introductory £200 off the full course fee. Full course details and tutor biographies are available at theidm.com/mcm
