Professor Ed Peelen joins editorial board of IDM journal
Released 17 July 2001: The Institute of Direct Marketing (IDM) announced today that Professor Ed Peelen has become the latest member of the editorial board for the Institute’s highly regarded journal, Interactive Marketing.
Ed Peelen is Professor of Interactive Marketing at Nyenrode University in the Netherlands, where he is responsible for courses on interactive marketing and in-company programmes on e-business.
By becoming a member of the editorial board, Professor Peelen joins an elite of world-class international marketing professionals and academics. Other board members include: Patrick Barwise, Director of the Centre of Marketing at London Business School; Angela Knapp, Vice President of New Media at Estée Lauder in the US; and Alistair Tempest, Director General of Public Affairs at FEDMA in Belgium.
Professor Peelen says, "I have read Interactive Marketing from day one and found it to be an intelligent and informative read. Professor Peelen: brief biography
- 1998-2001: Professor of Interactive Marketing at Nyenrode University; responsible for courses on interactive marketing and in-company programmes on e-business; also master of sales programme
- 1991-1998: Associate Professor of Marketing, University of Amsterdam
- 1990-1991: Associate Professor of Marketing, Erasmus University, Rotterdam
- 1989: PhD in Relationship Marketing at Erasmus University, Rotterdam
- 1984-1990: Assistant Professor, Erasmus University, Rotterdam
Besides writing several publications about relationship marketing in national and international journals, Professor Peelen is author of more than ten books on topics such as videotex, the Internet, multimedia and e-commerce. Additionally, he has written numerous articles published in national and international scientific journals on innovation, green marketing, customer relationship marketing and interactive marketing. He is also the co-initiator of a CRM research institute, sponsored by Hewlett Packard, Oracle and several consulting firms.
