RM appoints Squeeze Digital to create virtual show stand
Released 12 January 2005: RM, the leading supplier of ICT to UK education, has appointed Squeeze Digital to replicate its real-world presence at the education show BETT 2005 online to help drive traffic to its stand at the event and bring the show experience to education decision-makers unable to attend.
In order to mirror the 'at show' stand experience online Squeeze is creating a highly interactive and easily navigable virtual stand which includes animated product descriptions, rich media theatre presentations and show-specific webinars.
The virtual show stand also includes the incentives and interactivity of its offline counterpart as it incorporates several interactive competitions with a range of prizes along with lead generation and qualification facilities for RM to follow up on after the event.
Steve Kemish, Online Channel Manager at RM says, "BETT is without doubt the key event for the education sector in the UK and our presence there is an established tradition. However, although it is well attended, many of our key prospects and customers are as time-starved as senior decision makers in other professions and we need to be sure we reach them at this time. By working with Squeeze to recreate the show experience we are offering that crucial community the benefits of attending from the comfort of their desks."
Nik Margolis, Managing Director of Squeeze Digital adds, "RM is a big name in the education sector with a deserved reputation for bringing high performance ICT solutions to the learning environment. It is therefore highly appropriate that it should look to technology to deliver the BETT experience online."
"This initiative is pioneering, not just for the sector, but for the exhibiting industry at large. I am confident that the model of mirroring offline show stands, seminars and product demos in the online environment contemporaneous to trade shows and exhibitions is one that will be increasingly repeated in the future."
RM is showing all its latest products at the BETT Show 2005 and its online stand. Additionally RM has been short-listed for six BETT Awards, reputedly the most sought after in the education industry.
BETT 2005 takes place for 12 to 15 January at Olympia and features over 550 leading educational ICT suppliers covering all curriculum areas and all levels of education.
