Tesco's data guru presents 2004 Lecture
Released 02 February 2004: Clive Humby F IDM to present 2004 IDM Lecture
Clive Humby F IDM, Founder of dunnhumby will give the 2004 IDM Lecture on 18 March in Central London. Entitled ‘R is for … relevance’ Humby’s lecture promises to be a much-needed antidote to CRM on the basis that customers typically prefer marketing that is driven by relevance rather than a relationship.
Humby’s lecture will focus on:
- Why current targeting and measurement methods are flawed
- Harnessing customer insight to strategic business advantage
- The collective impact of the growing number of customer touchpoints
Caroline Robertson, Membership Director at the IDM says, "We are delighted that Clive has become the latest in a long line of world-leading experts to present from the IDM lecturn. In keeping with tradition his presentation will inspire and challenge marketing thinking."
Each year the IDM Annual Lecture provides what is probably the most significant presentation in the UK marketing calendar and a measure against which leading marketers and marketing organisations can test their strategic assumptions and planning for the coming year.
The 2004 lecture takes place at The Cavendish Conference Centre in London on Thursday 18 March from 18:30. Tickets cost £40 for IDM members and £50 for non-members. Prices are exclusive of VAT.
