The IDM strengthens business relationship with Unica
Released 05 December 2007: The Institute of Direct Marketing today announced a renewed and strengthened relationship with leading enterprise marketing management provider, Unica.
Unica has been involved with the IDM’s events programme since 2005, but now, with the growing digital requirements of marketers, the software company will go beyond simple event sponsorship and will seek to engage in new ways with the IDM’s experienced marketing community.
IDM Membership Director, Caroline Robertson said “In the light of a poll carried out at this year’s IDM Symposium, we’re particularly pleased to continue our relationship with Unica through 2008. According to the poll, data automation was revealed as one of the biggest opportunities presented to today’s marketers. It was also one of the areas in which marketers believed themselves least skilled. Our relationship with Unica means that we’re uniquely positioned to respond both swiftly and appropriately, enabling us to give our members and their guests direct access to experts in the field.”
Unica will sponsor the IDM’s events programme until August 2008 in a deal which will not only give Unica and their clients exposure to the IDM’s audience of senior marketing professionals, but will also benefit the Institute’s community through Unica’s marketing solutions expertise. Unica will have the opportunity for input into the events programme in terms of speakers and subject matter, and will be invited to contribute papers to the IDM’s Journal of Direct Data and Digital Marketing Practice.
Marcel Holsheimer, VP of Marketing, EMEA commented: “We’re delighted to be taking the IDM/Unica relationship to the next level. In the two years that our organisations have worked together we have seen a considerable rise in our brand awareness amongst marketers. With our new positioning, we hope to continue to be instrumental in the development needs of the IDM’s professional community.”
