Released 25 February 2010: Speakers from the team behind the online success stories of X-Factor, Britain’s Got Talent and Poker Face will reveal their essential audience engagement strategies at an IDM networking event sponsored by Aprimo on 4 March in central London.
Andrew Pillar, Commercial Director at FreemantleMedia’s FMX and consultant Mike Bayler will present “Online engagement: has your brand got the X-Factor?”. The speakers will share insights into Freemantle's original content initiative and reveal effective content marketing techniques that improve access to the brand, encourage customer involvement and inspire powerful advocacy.
Drawing too on Mike Bayler's work with clients such as Nokia, BSkyB and Simon Cowell, they will discuss:
- how digital changes the content marketing game
- how top drawer content creates relationship building opportunities
- how production companies are changing entertainment formats to benefit brand sponsors
- the KPIs to focus on in the content marketing space.
IDM Membership Director, Caroline Robertson says:
"John Hegarty said at a recent conference that soon we will all think in terms of audiences rather than customers. Andrew and Mike's experiences will be invaluable to any marketer who recognises that in today's online world, success will lie in turning yesterday's customer communication into tomorrow's audience participation."
Robin Collyer, Regional Director at event sponsor, Aprimo, adds:
"Andrew and Mike are right at the front of the Marketing Revolution where Marketers need to think of themselves as conversation architects, activating their audiences with relevant content. Aprimo integrated marketing software helps marketers navigate this changing environment - we are delighted to be supporting the IDM Digital Council on this event".
The event is supported and will be hosted by the IDM Digital Marketing Council which includes representatives from GlaxoSmithKline, AKQA, Nectar, John Lewis Direct. Barclays Bank and Diageo amongst others.
