MSc Digital Marketing
The MSc Digital Marketing is designed to produce graduates with advanced knowledge in digital marketing strategy and planning. IDM Diploma graduates can use their qualification to fast-track to a masters with our two partner institutions, either LSBU or the University of Southampton.

The IDM in conjunction with London South Bank University (LSBU) offers the highly-coveted MSc Digital Marketing. This collaboration combines the expertise of a respected professional institute with a prestigious university, equipping students with up-to-date knowledge and practical and applied skills to succeed in marketing today.
LSBU has 20 years' expertise in teaching and awarding Marketing Masters and is home to the world-renowned Ehrenberg Centre of Research in Marketing. The IDM has worked closely with the faculty in designing the qualification's syllabus to incorporate the very latest
research findings.
Syllabus
Core modules:
- Research Methods - develop your ability to apply qualitative and quantitative analytical techniques to interpret relevant business data and derive effective and ethical solutions
- Marketing in the Digital Environment - introducing elements of marketing science, changing consumer behaviour, new media, branding and the communications process

Entry requirements
IDM graduates have the choice of two fast-track entry routes to gain MSc Digital Marketing at LSBU:
Entry route A
For IDM graduates who have the Diploma in Digital Marketing the MSc Digital Marketing at LSBU will include: Research Methods + Marketing in the Digital Environment + Optional Module + Dissertation. Cost £3,532 (VAT exempt)
NB: IDM Diploma in Digital Marketing graduates can take an IDM online conversion programme for £795 + VAT allowing you to join via route B and gain exemption from the Optional Module.
Entry route B
For IDM graduates who have the Certificate in Digital Marketing and the Diploma in Digital Marketing the MSc Digital Marketing at LSBU will include: Research Methods + Marketing in the Digital Environment + Dissertation. Cost £3,059
Part-tIme study
Designed for students in full-time work, this MSc programme is run over 12 months during afternoons and evenings. The format of attendance at LSBU's London campus ensures progressive learning with assignments, directed reading and research set between sessions.

Graduates of the IDM Certificate and Diploma in Digital Marketing
can join the Masters programme now being held at University of Southampton. One of the top 15 research universities in the country, the study of marketing at the university is underpinned with the ‘new DNA of Marketing’ concept. This theory is based on their ongoing research into the impact that technology has on marketing practice and relationships with business partners, specifically in the digital and data marketing arena.
Syllabus
- Digital Scenarios – the digital marketing landscape is constantly evolving and presents marketers with both challenges and opportunities, for example with regard to its impact on the workings of the organisation as a whole and the nature of communications within it
- eResearch Methods – exploring how to develop tools and techniques for qualitative and quantitative analytics
- Dissertation

Candidates must hold the IDM Certificate and the IDM Diploma in Digital Marketing.

Blended Learning
‘Blended Learning’ offers all the convenience of online study plus the benefits of face-to face interaction with fellow students and tutors. Each module begins and ends with a half-day workshop at the University of Southampton. Time between these workshops will be spent on both independent work and on collaboration through a series of online interactive classes.
