The qualifications experience
The IDM qualifications experience
IDM Qualifications are considered by many employers as the industry benchmark of knowledge. For our students they provide an unpararelled learning experience that builds and consolidates their expertise, demonstrating a commitment to professional development.
2012 Student feedback
“As a senior marketeer for a well developed brand, it’s essential to be able to drive the use of bleeding-edge marketing theories, processes and tools into practice. The programme provided the perfect platform to do just that: pushing some thought-provoking arguments regarding channel implementation and forcing delegates to look toward their strategic applications. Not only was the programme easily transferred back into the workplace, it created a perfectly adaptable framework for myself and my team to use – the greatest test of any learning. Oh and it was hard work!”
Margi Tooth Dip DigM, Marketing Manager, Allianz Insurance
“I decided to do the IDM Certificate in Direct and Digital Marketing to really expand my knowledge of these media lines, particularly learning how various direct and digital marketing campaigns are used across a range of very different industries and markets, what has worked in the past and why specific campaigns might have not performed as well as expected. I especially liked the case study element of the qualification. I enjoyed researching often very different sectors to the ones I have worked for in the past, and then applying this research, combined with what we learnt in class, to build a bespoke marketing plan to meet the overall project objective. I found that this part of the programme tested our practical knowledge and I really enjoyed the creative brainstorming element of the case study projects. ”
Katharine Power Cert IDM, Direct Marketing Manager, Churchill, Green Flag and Privilege
“I really value the knowledge I accrued whilst studying for the IDM Diploma in Direct and Digital Marketing. I have already found it to be very useful in my professional role and I know that I will continue to draw on this knowledge in the future. Knowing how committed and focussed a student needs to be to achieve at this level, I recognise the benefit it can hold for applicants to roles in the DM sector. ”
Isobel Dumont Dip IDM, Direct Marketing Officer, UNICEF UK
“Working in an industry that is so heavily regulated, I was honestly a little unsure how relevant the content of the IDM Certificate in Digital Marketing would be to me personally. However, I was pleasantly surprised, because I learned that the majority of the principles we covered were directly relevant. The programme is hard work –particularly the assignments – but I am very pleased with the knowledge I have gained, and I recommend the programme to anyone looking for a sound understanding of digital marketing.”
Matt Norcross Cert DigM, Senior Manager, Digital Customer Engagement
