IDM announces 2016 exam results (Press Release)

The Institute of Direct and Digital Marketing (IDM) announces the results of its 2016 exams, with an impressive 93% of students achieving a pass. Over half (59%) of the students, who sat their exams in June and December last year, didn't just pass, but also achieved a Credit or Distinction for their fantastic results.

In all, of the 500 students studying for their IDM Professional or Postgraduate Diplomas in Digital or Direct and Digital, one in ten (11%) achieved the impressive score of 70% or higher to achieve a Distinction. Impressively, almost half of those who sat the exams (48%) were able to attain a Credit by scoring over 60%, with the remaining 35% still securing a Pass for these challenging exams.

Tracey Poulson, Director of Learning at The IDM, said: "Congratulations to all the students that I know have worked hard for their results today. We pride ourselves on challenging each and every one of our students to be the best they can be. It's not easy to even secure a Pass, so to see so many of them achieving either Credits or Distinctions is testament to their commitment to bettering themselves and their marketing skills."

Jane Cave, MD at the IDM, comments: "The world we all now live and work in has changed dramatically in the last 18 months, with new rules and technology continuing to innovate how we're able to market to customers. The only way forward for marketers to successfully navigate this new landscape is by education and training. Today's results are a snapshot of the incredible talent we have within the UK's creative industries, but we must ensure we continue to nurture the talent in our sector if we want to continue to be a global leader in data-driven marketing."
