In the internet era, social networking websites have thrived. Computermediated communication has changed the rules of social interaction and communication. Most social networking sites, for example Orkut, Facebook, Google+ and Twitter, facilitate users with features such as online interaction, sharing of information and developing new relationships. Online interaction and sharing of personal information on social networking sites has raised new privacy concerns. This requires an exploratory study into users’ behavioural intention to share information. (11 pages)
