Why the topic is important

In the world in which we now live and work, many things about presentations remain the same. For the presenter, there is the chance to prepare and deliver information that can make a difference to others. And their audience has an opportunity to gain from what they see and hear, leave with something useful to them.

The opportunities to present have increased with our access to and increasing familiarity with video communication. These occasions now sit alongside face to face in real life as opportunities to present and make an impact. The good news is that when it comes to presentations there is a core approach to creating successful outcomes whatever the scenario.

That said, there are differences. This workshop will focus on how to go about making a successful presentation, whether in real life or over a screen. And it will highlight the differences and share practical ways to manage the situation to make it work for you. In both cases you're looking to create a moment where you can convey your idea, hear others and have everyone contribute and leave with value. This session will show you how to prepare, perform and build your personal confidence to enable you to do this.

What will the course do to support your marketing activities

It will enable you to get your ideas understood more readily, perform well and with impact when it comes to presentations and to create more successful outcomes as a result through:

  • Building a sound approach to preparation and practise
  • Understanding yourself and your audience more fully
  • Developing flexibility in your style and approach
  • Making an impact presenting over video
  • Developing confidence in your skills to deliver your material

You should consider attending this course if:

You are currently presenting and want to strengthen your approach. You may be just starting to present, and looking to make sense of your experiences. You may have a few presentations in the bank, and be aware of what you want to improve. And finally, you may have been presenting for a while but not refreshed your skills recently. Whatever your position, this workshop has what you need to make progress.

You are presenting information with which you are very familiar, to an audience who is unfamiliar with this information. This session will give you the tools and insight that will help you to bridge the gap.

You have become aware that your presentation approach and style could use some work. Perhaps you are about to step up in your career or have recently done so and being able to present well has become more important for your ongoing professional success. Or perhaps your presentation style is holding you back, and with a different approach, you would gain access to new opportunities.
